Biography

Shannon Faythe Brown, a Registered Nurse with a passion for elder care, is an accomplished entrepreneurship and public speaker. She is a U. S. Army veteran and co-founder of Universal Nursing Services, LLC, where she is the Director of Clinical Services. As a Certified Case Manager, Shannon supervises a staff that delivers home health services to hundreds of clients each year under Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance programs. An aspiring business consultant, she shares her extensive experience with a large staffing firm as their healthcare clinician and Joint Commission Compliance Officer. Mrs. Brown holds a Masters in Health Administration and a Bachelors in Nursing. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Shannon has held various positions of leadership in home health, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. She was the Interim Director of Medical Surgical/Oncology and Clinical Coordinator for Medical Surgical/Oncology at Northeast Baptist Hospital, and she served as the Assistant Director of Nursing for Mountainside Care Center, a 95-bed skilled nursing facility. Shannon is the Immediate Past Vice-President and current Treasurer of Judson Education Foundation. A knack for self-improvement led Shannon to Toastmasters International, where she is a Charter Member and Past President of Rising Toastmasters. Shannon serves on several boards to include Black Effort Against the Threat of AIDS (B.E.A.T. – A.I.D.S.) and Olympia Oaks Homeowners Association. She served as a member of the South Texas Gerontological Nurses Association, the Alamo Area Home Care Council, the Metronome Chamber of Commerce, Case Management Society of America, and the Texas Association for Home Care.
