Forensic nursing

Nurses are the first healthcare staff to encounter victims and offenders in hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive care units, and services, as well as at policlinics and on-scene; consequently, it is critical that nurses receive forensic nursing education. It is described as the contribution of nursing to public or judicial procedures, as well as the role of forensic healthcare in the scientific study of trauma and/or death in the context of abuse, violence, criminal activity, culpability, and accidents.
